I have been associated with Tree House since 2002 when I helped establish a much-needed wrap-around service for High Oakham Primary. All my 3 children have attended throughout the years. Whilst working in business development, I expanded the provision and added Ed’s Club and Robin’s Den to our portfolio. I have been acting Manager since 2009 and am one of three company directors. I am passionate about working with children and their families. Ensuring that I have a qualified, experienced and fully trained staff team is essential to provide all our parents/carers the best quality care we can give their children.
I started working at Tree House in 2014 as a Playworker, around 2017 I was then promoted to Play Leader, and now here I am the Office Manager. I have learned a lot here at Tree House and have always had opportunities to do further training. I have always had a strong passion for working with children. I have a firm but fair approach towards them. It has been rewarding throughout the years to see how children have developed through different stages of their life and grown in self-confidence. I enjoy making memories with my beautiful little girl.
I first started working at Tree House in 2006 as a playworker, over the years I got promoted to play leader then club Co-Ordinator , I worked at Tree House for 14 years then decided to explore other opportunities.
I returned to Tree House last year as club Co-Ordinator.
It is great to be back to see how the children are growing up who I previously looked after and to get to know all of the other children at the setting.
I am kind and caring to all of the children and their needs come first .
I have two children who attended Tree House quite a few years ago and they both enjoyed coming to the setting .
I also have two dogs Albert & Winnie who I talk a lot about to the children & they ask when can they meet them :)
I have worked in childcare for many years. I have been Co-ordinator at Ed's Club since 2008. I initially wanted a career in childcare or nursing, childcare won after having children of my own and now a devoted Grandma. During Ed's Club, I have gained my Business Management and my Level 4 Childcare qualification. I have always had a creative mind which I bring to the setting through planning and participating in various craft activities.
I Have worked in childcare for many years. I started at Robin's Den as a Play Worker and now I am a Co-ordinator I am proud of myself on what I have achieved since working for Tree House. Whilst studying childcare, I became a volunteer at Tree House in 2015. This gave me the confidence to mature into a Playworker and I was promoted to Play Leader in 2021. I have a strong passion to make children happy, therefore I sometimes act as a child myself, being the joker and having a laugh, making the children smile! I am approachable and have fantastic relationships with staff and children, I think the children would agree as on a regular basis all I hear is "Harriet!" I love to go walking and exploring with my 2 dogs and family.
